Solfél Butter began as a love letter — to the body, to the earth, and to a culture where beauty is layered, loud, and full of soul.

But the journey started long before the first jar was ever poured.

Eighteen years ago, when my oldest child was diagnosed with eczema, I was faced with the harsh reality of treating delicate skin with harsh, long-term steroids. I remembered watching my mother during my adolescent years, searching tirelessly for gentler answers — always blending, always trying. Her hands moved with hope. Mine followed suit.

Determined to create something better, I turned to my kitchen, driven by love, tradition, and the belief that our skin deserves more — especially the skin of our little ones.

As a family with complex roots — a vibrant blend of Louisiana Creole heritage and Mississippi resilience — we all looked different on the outside, but we shared the same struggle: no real solution for our skin.

So I made one.

Solfel is the result of that intention. What began as a mother’s search for relief became a brand grounded in ritual, respect, and radiant care. Every blend is made in small batches, whipped by hand, and infused with ingredients the earth meant for us to use gently and gratefully.
